The Valley Library, situated in the heart of the OSU main campus, offers a variety of individual and collaborative study spaces carefully designed to meet our students needs. We are open 24/5 during fall, winter, and spring terms, with reduced hours during summer term.
The Learning Commons includes large tables with comfy chairs, whiteboards and collaborative workstations equipped with monitors. Patrons can use one of 100+ computers to search research databases and journals, access email and the Web, and use productivity software. The Student Multimedia Services desk provides multimedia support, equipment loans, poster and thesis printing.
Also located in the Learning Commons is the Collaborative Learning Center, an excellent learning resource that hosts tutors from the departments of Chemistry, Math, Physics, the CAMP program, and the Writing Desk.
In addition to books and course reserves, the circulation desk loans laptops, eReaders, lockers, headphones, monitor adaptors, calculators, whiteboard markers, and much more. We provide two self-checkout machines for speedy service.
A notable collection of contemporary Northwest artwork is on permanent display throughout the library.
Food and beverages can be found in the Java II coffee shop on the first floor.
Sustainability is a core value at OSU Libraries and Press. The Valley Library engages in various sustainable practices including the collection of compostable and recyclable materials.
